He predicted that the vast time and money that's wasted on pro-sports would eventually be shifted to more productive persuits, education, participatory amature sports, the arts, etc.

I believe that is what is about to happen. These players are entertainers, and they aren't entertaining any more. Fans will shift interest to something else.

All for the better in my mind. The give young kids virtually unlimited money, from Little League on many kids focus on sports in place of education, nearly none of them make the big money, or any money, prosports is ruining the United States. To me that's the message they are conveying.

So pro football is over for me. I think in another season or two it will be over for all these spiritually poor young men and their fanatical admirers. Aside from the known issues with Obamacare, I hope someday (with improvements) this will be a liberating force from corporate servitude. I'd like to see more "mom and pop" companies in the future. It just shows they've "drunk the kool-aid" (euphemism for "brain-washing") of their organizations. Another euphemism I dislike is when people use the word "misunderstanding" instead of "conflict". Well I guess my Midwestern upbringing taught me to "call a spade a spade" (a euphemism for "frank honesty"). On my first meeting as president I listened in stunned silence as the "discussion" degenerated into total chaos. There were people talking over one another and too many side discussions going on. After 30 minutes of this, I tried to bring some order to the meeting by telling the group of about 20 young engineers (that were young enough to be my children), "Can we just have one person talk at a time?" (It’s just basic meeting edict.) Well my simple suggestion went over like a lead balloon as the discussion turned into “why that was a stupid idea.” After the disastrous meeting I promptly walked back to my desk and resigned as their president. They obviously hadn’t learned basic courtesy or followership and continuing as their leader would have been an exercise in futility.
